MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
What I got for Christmas that I love the most.. (from Elaine..)
Yup.. The second edition of "The Art of Star Wars -Attack of the Clones"
DANG GOOD!!... I read that thing the first thing I got home, and the next morning...
What I got Elaine for Christmas is another story...
I got her these... minus the model of course ^.^
La Senza - Meow Mix Flannel Pj - Dog Prints
Slumber in total comfort in these all-over printed flannel pyjama sports classic button-down shirt-style collar and side slits, patch pocket at chest with thin delicate white satin cord binding on cuffs, collar, and shirt opening. Elastic waist pants with satin cord drawstring allows a perfect relaxed fit every time.
BUT getting the PJs was quite an embarassment…
Originally I was thinking and pondering what would be a really nice Christmas present…
And when I arrived at on getting the PJs… I was quite excited and wanted to go immediately…
I though to myself.. hmmmm.. The Bay or Sears… hm. No..
I wanted to get it some place better… since I never had the need for PJs ahem ahem…
I needed help in finding out which stores I should go..
Upon consulting with my female associates, La Senza was the store I should visit..
So Wee HOO I was excited and off I flew…
Little did I realize upon seeing the store.. was that
When I got in front of the La Senza store, I realize it’s .. aaaa .. lack of a better work.. A GIRL STORE… with Lingeries and bras hanging everywhere..
So I quickly dashed and “casually” leaned onto the aisles just outside of the store..
I was like.. “Crap!” this was going to be kinda embarrassing.. walking in there…
No other males were in sight inside the store…
What made it worst was that there were suddenly a swarm of females fluttering into the store… why a big swarm you ask?
It was a big sale….5 pairs of undies for $25… I guess that’s a good deal…
But I wasn’t about to let this get to me from getting the present that I really want…
SO I had a game plan… I had surveyed the store and figure out a “walking route” in which I can see all the products in one “continuous” stroll…
So I won’t be stopping in one place anywhere in the store…
So neways, I gathered what “manhood” I have and “confidently” strolled into the La Senza…
Upon entering… Eyes and smile were all over me… I was getting REALLY embarrassed by now…
I did my stroll.. and was cut off time and time again by those “5 undies for $25” animals… Being pushed aside and blocked…
So now I’m frustrated ‘cause I probably have missed a couple stands where it had PJs…
I couldn’t get around those females who are frantically digging into a pile of thongs and undies…
Next thing I knew... I found myself with two, three staff members of the Store…
“Do you need any help?” says one
“Are you looking something for…you girlfriend” says another..
This part was funny.. I don’t know why I did it…
I said with a straight face…
“NO! something for myself actually …” while casually looking over on a Cherry Cream color Satin Lungeri…
HEE HEE so jokes… their face were flushed and took me seriously for a moment…
I relieved them by saying…
“jusssst joking, yeah I’m pretty lost.. I needed to get a cute PJ, but your undies sale is making it hard on me”…
So after like 20 minutes, the girls helped me picked out the PJs…
And afterwards told me that I could avoid the embarrassment and order it online…
Yeah well.. a little too late for that…

One of the many requested things my dad broung back was the ENTIRE film series from Hayao Miyazaki..
The man who brought to theaters recently.. Spirited Away..
So I have like all of works, almost 15+ films up to his recent "Spirited Away"...
So I decided to show some images of each movie... every other day or whatever..
Mononoke Hime
(Princess Mononoke)
[The plot]
To depict what constructs the unchanged basis of human throughout time, by
overlapping the current era which is going through changes towards the 21st
century with the confusing era of Muromachi, which went through the process
of moving from the collapse of the system in the medieval era towards the
modern era.
A period drama woven from the warp: the fight between humans and Mononoke
over the head of the God animal, Shishi Shin, and the woof: the meeting and
liberation of the girl who was raised by Inugami (Dog God) and hates humans
and the boy who is under the curse of death.
[my review]
Although it was a well animated movie.. I didn't think it was Miyazaki's best work
The plot was too overwork and lack the 'simplicity but communicative' technique that he had accomplished in his earlier work..
There's alot of bodily decapitation.. too.. kinda freaky...
Right in the begining scenes, arms are detached and heads are flying off the shoulders... pretty nasty...
and the graphic depiction of decay and evil are pretty nasty...
All in all.. it's 6/10 on my scale
[stay tune for a LOT more reviews...]

Some design stuff that may interest you...
For those of you who wonder to what extent does an industrial design encompass in their design arena?
Here's an example of an designer that is by far one of the masters in industrial design..
There are others.. but I'll start with this man..
Prof. Luigi Colani
Yes his mustache style is kinda 70ish... but he is by far most world's innovative and leading designer of the 20th century...
Luigi Colani had a background in Academy of Art in Berlin and aerodynamics at the Sorbonne in Paris. His first success was the design of shoes for Dior, still being a student.
After his studies he worked for Douglas in the USA. Back in Berlin in 1954, he worked for Alpha Romeo, Lancia, VW and BMW.
His main design philosophy is of the bio-dynamics. His designs draws his inspiration from nature. To him, nature is the starting point. This is the central concept in Prof. Luigi Colani`s philosophy of bio-dynamics. Colani, who gains much of his inspiration from nature, stresses that his designs consist of shapes based on the creations of nature: "I do not more than imitate the thruths revealed to me by nature!"
On August 2nd 1928, Lutz Colani is born in Akademie der Künste Berlin , where his Swiss father worked as a film architect. He also spends his school years in the German capital.
In 1946~48, he begins his studies of painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, then later studied aerodynamics at the Sorbonne in Paris
In 1952/1953, Colani moves to California where he researches "New Materials" and works in the field of "High Speed Research".
In 1954, he returns to Europe, first to Paris, then to Berlin. His first success - the "Golden Rose" prize for work in the field of automobiles.
In 1957, Lutz changes his name to Luigi Colani.
In 1968, in Rheda, Westphalia, Germany, a center of the furniture industry, he puts together a design team and concentrates on the use of plastics in the furniture and automobile industries.
In 1972, he opened his studio @ Harkotten Castle in Fuchtorf / Sassenberg, Germany, and devotes himself to experimental design with a large number of students, commissioned by renowned automobile and aircraft companies [boeing], as well as NASA space authorities. As well as Villeroy and Boch, Rosenthal, Thyssen, and Pelikan.
In 1973 comes the first study journey to the Far East with the founding of a Colani Design Centre in Japan.
In the years 1977-1981 follows a series of publications and international prizes.
In 1982 he went to Japan and worked for Sony, Yamaha, Seiko, Hitachi Nissan and Canon.
In 1985, Colani completes his design for the Robot Theatre in Tokyo in the shape of a gigantic, open mussel.
In 1986, he founds the "Colani Design Centre in Bern" and in 1988, branches opened in Toulouse and Bremen. In the same year he is named honorary professor at the University of Bremen.
In the following years 1989-1994, Colani concentrates on overseas projects in the USA, Japan and Thailand as well as exhibitions and commissioned work in German speaking countries.
In 1995, Luigi Colani designs the Bio City, intended for construction on the Chinese island of Changming the same time. He receives a second professorship from the University of Tongji.
In 1996 and 1997, Luigi Colani creates various products in very different fields-from pianos and TV sets to glasses gold jewelry, and office furniture, to tools, wallpaper and decorative furniture from Siro.
Needless to say.. He's a KICK @$$ of a designer...
He has not only designed products such as cars, motorcycles and aircrafts but also many other common items that affect us in our daily lives.
These products include sport equipment, household goods, furniture, bathrooms appliances, cameras and other electronic equipments, computers, jewelry, frames and so on.
Just to mention one example, Prof. Luigi Colani has designed the CANON T-90 camera.
Below are a few images.
CANON T-90 DESIGN PROCESS
This camera not only won the camera of the year 1987 price but also set the trend for ergonomic camera design which is dominant today.
And for Mazda, he designed the Mazda MX-5, a round shaped car design which has set the trend for future car designs.
Here are some of the other consumer products designed by Colani...
Here are the other things he had designed in Automotive and aerodynamic designs... oh yeah... he worked for NASA before too...
Colani's headquarter now is based in Zürich - Switzerland
Most recent work of Prof. Colani's is the tuned Opel Speedster
