Been a long long long long while...
Yes I'm still alive..
I've been swamped with work..
and on top of that..
I have to finish my portoflio submission package...
Needless to say.. I'm pretty busy..
Neways.. I will start updating stuff real soon again...

NEW YORK
Have been absolutely busy...
First I was in the notion of getting an interview for the undergrad program on Saturday.
However, as my interview progressed to the 1.5 hour mark,
The professor bluntly suggest that I should take my studies in the graduate level.
He offer to write me a recommendation letter and to see the Graduate Selection Officer.
Well I went today to see him, and interview for another 2 hours...
At the end of it all, he also reach the same conclusion...
So.. long story short, I'll be apply for the graduate program...
Life in New York has been absolutely a 'eye-wide opening' experience...
especially if you are living and traveling all over New York by yourself..
And with me doing that for the last week....
Two words.. 'street smart'
I don't think I really understand those 2 words after surviving and travelling all over New York by myself.
All over Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn...
I went to be poking at all the different corners, New York is indescribably 'NEW YORK'
you have to live here to know what New York truely is like..
This city is dangerous, filled with attitude, and incredibly exciting all at the same time...

Manhatten
I walked ALL over Manhatten yesterday, approx. 10 miles!!
Observing the life style of ppl in NY
It's certainly interesting and different...
I had my breakfast in a cute cafe,
and made stop overs in, ahem ahem.. Starbucks.. (there's at every corner, pretty much)
I walked from the Finanicial district to the trump tower, to SOHO, Broadway, and to 'Ground Zero'
I was much cleaner than I had thought it would be, I guess I came too late to see the ruins and rubble...
All in all, my FEET KILLS!!

I'm in New York...
It was quite a crazy flight, and kinda empty too..
only 10 people in an entire plane...
Then I had to find my way by myself to the house where I'm staying in Queens...
that was eventful, New York is New York...
I decided to fit in as best as I can.. visually that is...
I fit in too well I guess, 'cause I was question by an officer..
He thought I was a 'hand-off' man... A drug dealer or something..
Neways, thru 5 minutes into our conversation, he says "you're not from here?"
I say "no.. I just came off a plane, can't you see the plane bar code still on my bag?"
He says "oh yeah..."
New York people comes by in both spectrum... some really nice, soe really look mean..
The bus driver that drove me all the way to Flushing, a part of Queens in New York...
He ended up not letting me pay for my fare, and gave me a verbal tour of the entire ride...
Telling me this and that about the place we drove by...
And then there are the weird mean looking ones...
Like some just standing there, and looking pretty darn suspicious and lookng around nervously...
I have to keep in mind that I have to blend in...
Like the bus driver told me when I got off the bus...
"it's ok.. stay alert, New Yorkers always have a eye at the back of their head... That's my advice to you.."

New York Trip...
My flight itinerary is set!
From Aril 9th till 15th..
I was just going to go for the weekend..
But because of Air Canada's filing Bankcrupcy...
And since my ticket is my Canada Air Reward Points...
I'm kinda 'forced' to stay for more than just a weekend...
Anyways, I'm planning on more sightseeing..
and take some nice photos with my digicam = )
Still mad working away my portfolio...

not exactly going to the Bronx...
To Brooklyn.. where one of the design school is..
Pratt Institute
Going with my portfolio for an open house visitation they'e having...
Plus doing some site seeing and design studio visitation...
I will fly there and run around the city by subway and buses..
I'm already doing some quick research on the subway system
Needless to say.. I'm pissing my pants to finish my portfolio..
